Signature Catering by Ovy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you visit signaturecateringchicago.com, contact us about catering services, or participate in our employee work-scheduling SMS program.

Information We Collect

For catering inquiries and events, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue, estimated guest count, preferences, dietary information, communication history, and standard website analytics.

For the Employee Work Scheduling SMS Program, we collect an employee or event staff member’s full name, mobile phone number, consent selection, submission date and time, consent source, opt-in and opt-out history, START/STOP/HELP keyword activity, and scheduling-message records.

We do not collect payment card information through this website.

How We Use Information

We use catering information to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals and menus, coordinate events, and provide booking and event-related communications.

Employee SMS information is used only to document consent and send non-marketing work-scheduling communications, including shift invitations with confirmation links, shift confirmations, schedule changes, and reminders.

Employee Work Scheduling SMS Program

Participation is voluntary. Employees and event staff opt in through our public SMS Program Opt-In form by actively selecting a separate optional checkbox that is unchecked by default. Consent is not a condition of employment, scheduling, pay, or any purchase. Employees who decline receive schedules by phone call or in person.

Message frequency varies, typically 2–6 messages per event week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, reply HELP for help, or reply START to re-subscribe. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See the SMS Terms & Conditions.

Mobile Information and Consent Data

We do not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may use service providers, including communications, website, and scheduling-system providers, only as necessary to operate our services, deliver requested messages, maintain security, or comply with law. They may not use mobile information or SMS consent data for their own marketing.

How We Share Other Information

We share other information only as needed to plan and execute an event, operate our business, protect our rights, or comply with law. This may include our internal team, event vendors, and service providers such as Squarespace, Google Workspace, analytics providers, and communications platforms. We do not sell personal information or share contact information for third-party marketing.

Cookies and Analytics

Retention

We retain active catering records for the duration of our work together and as reasonably needed for business and legal records. Employee SMS consent records are retained to document enrollment, opt-out, re-subscription, and compliance history. Inactive inquiry records may be retained for up to two years, and anonymized analytics may be retained longer.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information by emailing info@signaturecateringchicago.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Employee SMS participants may opt out at any time by replying STOP; opting out has no effect on employment, scheduling, or pay.

Children’s Privacy

Our catering services and employee scheduling program are not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
